Plant Stand

The redone plant stand. I scored this little piece at a yard sale for $1. Once again I forgot before pictures but it was just plain wood.

First I tried yellow which totally came out AWFUL!
The purple on the other hand came out beautiful. I needed something for the top and absolutely loved these white roses.

I mod podged it right and on there. Cant wait to get a plant with a beautiful pot on there!!

The Refurbished... TimeOut Chair

So I found this chair at a yard sale for $1. I did have before pictures until my SD card decided to take a crap on me.

I let it sit for a little since I didnt have any spray paint on hand until... craigslist for free came across! Free paint!! I ended up with 8 cans of spray paint and a few half gallons!!

So I used primer and paint and my cricut for the vinyl.

I actually just broke it in today. Wasn't thinking... should have gotten a picture.

Old Highchair Gets a Makover

So I found this high chair at a yard sale for a dollar. It was kind of beat up and sad looking...

The legs and the top were pretty beat up. I thought I had a picture of the top. I had to saw off the very top of the chair because the one ball was all chewed up. Surprisingly it turned out nice and probably looked better than it did with them.

I began by giving the entire chair a sand down. It didn't take that long and wasnt all that messy.

I then gave it one coat of primer. It only used half a can!! Love it when that happens.

I then spray painted it with the color of my choice. I now wish I would have done a blue because most of my home and walls are green. It took two coats to get the results I wanted which ended up being exactly one can of spray paint.

I wanted to make it different but also something that I could hand down to friends or family so stenciling names were out. Bon Appetit seemed perfect so I went and bought cheapo stencils and stencil adhesive. I also bought the special sponge brushed made especially for stenciling, Im in love!! This was also the first time I ever used stencil adhesive and the stuff is great!!

Lastly I put one coat of clear coat on it and I was done. My three year old looooooooooooves this chair!! Its all his which makes it super special.

Dresser

So I bought this on craigslist for $30. Probably could have gotten a cheaper one but I was way to excited to refurnish my first piece of furniture. My husband bought me the black and decker mouse sander (you can see it on the top). I went to town. Sanded the whole thing. It was cheapo paint so it took me a while. I used a primer and paint combo, used a trim roller, and put about 3 coats on. I then went to walmart and bought vinyl decals and placed some on it.

But I wasnt feeling that at all. Actually I thought it was kind of ugly. So I went in search of something else. And... I found it at the dollar tree. For a dollar!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Score!!! One dollar and it looks gorgeous! I am so happy with the outcome!

So happy with it : )

Bookcase Redone

I didnt take any before pictures : ( I always do that!! Im in to much of a rush to make something. I bought this at a yard sale for $3. It was just plain heavy wood. I spray painted it white and mod podged the paper on the back. Its a shabby chick style and I love it!

Kids Chalk Table

I got this table off the free section on craigslist. It was not very pretty.

At first I was going to sand it down and totally revamp it.

After a few strokes of standing I realized never EVER sand black paint. It was all over me and made the worst mess! Not worth the hassle.

So when I left it sit a few days. When I was at walmart I saw the chalkboard paint and picked up a $1 can of black spray paint. I spray painted the legs and used one coat of the chalkboard paint and it tuurned out perfect! My kids love it!

Reupholstered Chair

< --- Poor thing : (

So this is what we have been dealing with for over a year!!! What was I thinking because it was SUCH AN EASY FIX! There were two screws holding on the seat... which I discovered from the two year old breaking it. All I did was bought fabric from JoAnns (with the help of my lovely mother : ) and stapled it on. Make sure you align the fabric how you want it!! I often miss that step because Im so excited to do the project. I pulled the sides tight and stapled them into place once in the middle and started with the corners first. Then worked my way back to the original staples. This was the best thing I could have done! Totally revamped my kitchen table!
